Performs all notarial acts in accordance with Ohio Revised Code Chapter 147 and applicable administrative rules. The role is limited to verifying the identity of signers, witnessing signatures, administering oaths and affirmations, and performing other authorized duties. Cannot draft legal documents, provide interpretation of legal matters, or offer any legal counsel. Individuals seeking legal interpretation or assistance should consult a licensed attorney.
Is not responsible for the content or legality of the documents being notarized. It is the responsibility of the parties involved to ensure that the documents comply with applicable laws and regulations.
Must verify the identity of the signer before proceeding. It is the responsibility of the signer to present valid identification as required by Ohio law.
Maintains a journal of notarial acts as required or recommended by applicable state laws and best practices. The information recorded is limited to details necessary to document the notarial act and does not include copies of the documents notarized unless otherwise required by law. Do not retain, store, or disclose the contents of any notarized documents. It is the signer's responsibility to retain original documents.
Has statewide jurisdiction to perform notarial acts. Are required to be located in the state of Ohio when performing traditional or remote online notarizations.

RATES
Services will be charged at a rate provided on the "Service" page, payable at the time of service. Travel fees apply. All rates are discussed and agreed upon in writing before the appointment. All fees are non-refundable once notary service has been performed.
Note: If the notary is present and on time for the appointment and the signer reschedules or cancels for any reason, the travel fee will still be charged for the original appointment, and a new travel fee will apply for the rescheduled appointment. Terms will be discussed, negotiated, and agreed upon in writing before a scheduled loan signing.
ACCEPTABLE FORMS OF IDENTIFICATION
Clients must provide valid government-issued identification with the signer's photo and signature to verify their identity before the notarization process. Acceptable forms of ID include:
